All-season Bridgestone Weather Control A005 tires are designed for use on passenger cars and crossovers. Bridgestone took into account the wishes of the customers, and tests conducted by the independent German expert organization TÜV SÜD showed that Weather Control A005 exceeds the leading competitor, Michelin CrossClimate+, in grip on both wet and snowy roads. The new Bridgestone also received the highest “A” rating for wet grip on the EU Tire Label system. However, the tires in some sizes were rated “B” for their fuel efficiency.
The tires have a directional tread and a powerful inner structure, which makes them well maneuverable and controllable on the road. The developer has taken care of reducing the braking distance by 5 % and increasing the service life by 15 %. In addition, rubber does not create unnecessary noise in the cabin.
The tread is designed as a V-shaped pattern, which is formed by massive and narrow blocks. Such design allows you to get the maximum stability without depending on the speed of movement and weather conditions. The tires react very accurately to commands during driving, thus the driver “feels” the car even in the most extreme conditions. Due to the presence of wide shoulder zones, there is complete stability of movement during various maneuvers or turns. High-quality braking is possible not only on dry road surface, but also on ice and snow. The large length of blocks provides good cross-country ability on loose snow, no slippage at the start.
Due to the introduction of three-dimensional winter Z-shaped blades, the tires are characterized by excellent traction in all weather conditions. Sharp hitch edges allow getting maximum cross-country ability, excellent performance and complete safety while driving on ice. The drainage grooves are positioned so as to reduce the noise level to a minimum.
The probability of aquaplaning is minimal, which is due to the presence of wide grooves of sufficient depth to effectively drain the snow shuga and water.
NanoPro-Tech is another of the technological developments introduced into the model, which is often used to create other summer models. The essence of the innovation is the special production of a mixture at the nano level. Rubber has the required elasticity, which significantly improves ride quality and comfort. Addition of special components and innovative additives allowed to obtain high strength, resistance to mechanical stress and temperature fluctuations.

My tires are only six months old. However, during this time I managed to test them in different conditions, at temperatures between 70 and 5°F, both on dry asphalt and rain, and on snowy or frozen roads. Ideal conditions for this tire are wet asphalt. In winter conditions, even deep snow, the tires are as good as the winter ones. My mileage per year is about 10,000 miles, which is why I chose these tires (saving money and time on shoeshoes, winter will never take me by surprise). Bridgestone provides good safety both in winter and summer.
